1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data whypaymore collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to run the Service and never sell your personal data.

2. Data we collect

Account information: your name and email when you create an account.

Scan history: the products you scan and the results we generate, so we can show your feed and history.

Approximate location: only when you grant permission, used to find nearby prices and set your currency. You can disable this anytime in Settings.

Device & usage data: basic analytics such as page views and feature usage to improve the Service.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and preferences, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use cookies to sell your data to advertisers.

4. How we use your data

To provide and personalize the Service (identify products, show prices, save history, send alerts you opt into), to maintain security, and to improve features.

5. Storage & security

Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase) using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted, secrets are server-only, and we apply row-level security so you can only access your own data.

6. Sharing

We share data only with the processors required to operate the Service (hosting, database, AI processing, and payment provider) under their respective terms. We do not sell personal data.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. To request deletion of your account and associated scan history, contact support@whypaymore.app and we will process your request promptly.

8. Data retention

We retain your account and scan history until you delete them or close your account. Some records may be retained where required for legal or security purposes.

9. Children

whypaymore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
